Terms of Service

Last updated: October 10, 2026

These terms explain the rules for using FinTrack, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. We've kept them as clear as we can.

The short version

  • Your financial data belongs to you. We only use it to run FinTrack for you.
  • FinTrack is a tracking tool, not a bank or financial advisor.
  • Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel, and every plan has a 7-day money-back guarantee.
  • Use FinTrack lawfully and don’t try to break, abuse, or resell it.

Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and FinTrack(“FinTrack”, “we”, “us”) covering your use of usefintrack.com and the FinTrack app (the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service

FinTrack is a personal finance tracker. You enter your income, expenses, recurring bills, budgets, and goals manually, and FinTrack organizes them into dashboards, forecasts, and reports. FinTrack does not connect to your bank, does not hold or move money, and does not make payments on your behalf.

Not financial advice

Figures shown in FinTrack, including balances, “safe to spend” amounts, forecasts, and insights, are calculated solely from the information you enter and are provided for general informational purposes. Their accuracy depends on the accuracy and completeness of your entries.

FinTrack is not a bank, financial advisor, tax advisor, or accountant, and nothing in the Service is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Consider speaking with a qualified professional before making significant financial decisions.

Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the permission of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for any purchases.
  • Provide accurate information and keep your email address up to date.
  • Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, and you should tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • Demo accounts are temporary. Demo data is deleted automatically, usually within 48 hours, and cannot be recovered.

Plans, billing, and refunds

Plans

FinTrack offers a free plan with usage limits and paid plans billed monthly, yearly, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Current features, limits, and prices are shown on our pricing page.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, which handles payment and applicable sales tax or VAT. Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's buyer terms.

Renewals and cancellation

Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in your account. After cancelling, you keep paid features until the end of the current billing period, and your account then moves to the free plan. Your data is not deleted when a subscription ends.

Lifetime plan

A lifetime purchase gives you access to the paid features of FinTrack for as long as we operate the Service, without recurring charges. It is not tied to your own lifetime. If we ever discontinue the Service, we will give at least 30 days' notice so you can export your data.

Refunds

All paid plans come with a 7-day money-back guarantee: if you are not happy, contact us within 7 days of your initial purchase for a full refund. Outside that window, payments, including renewals, are non-refundable except where required by law. This does not affect any rights you have under consumer protection laws.

Price changes

We may change prices for future billing periods. We will notify you in advance of any change to a plan you are subscribed to, and you can cancel before it takes effect. Price changes do not affect lifetime purchases already made.

Your data

You own the data you enter into FinTrack. You give us a limited permission to store, process, and display it only as needed to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your data and do not sell it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.

Paid plans can export transactions to CSV. You can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time through our contact page.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful.
  • Access or attempt to access another person's account or data.
  • Probe, scan, or test the Service's security, or bypass any limits or access controls.
  • Interfere with or overload the Service, or introduce malware.
  • Scrape the Service, or access it by automated means except as we permit.
  • Copy, resell, or sublicense the Service, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.

If you find a security issue, please report it to us through the contact page instead of testing it further.

Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and the FinTrack name and logo, belongs to FinTrack and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve FinTrack without any obligation to you.

Changes and availability

We are continually improving FinTrack and may add, change, or remove features. We aim to keep the Service available, but it may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. We are not responsible for any loss caused by an interruption, so please keep your own records of anything important.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if we need to in order to comply with the law, or to protect the Service or other users. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.

Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, such as those on intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, will continue to apply.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that calculations based on your entries will be accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FinTrack will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or any financial decision you make using it.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD 50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify FinTrack against claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of anyone else's rights.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which FinTrack's operator is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of any mandatory laws of the country where you live.

If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first. Most concerns can be resolved quickly and informally, and we will try in good faith to do so within 30 days before either of us starts formal proceedings.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above, and for significant changes we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you can stop using the Service and cancel any subscription.

General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and FinTrack about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
